Delivery Information
Delivery Coverage:
We offer nationwide delivery to all counties in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Delivery Fees:
Delivery fees range from €9.95 to €109.95, depending on your order size and destination. The correct shipping fee is calculated at checkout.
Mirrors and glass products are charged seperately as they require careful handling to deliver. If you have multiple items including a mirror, this fee is charged in addition to your orders delivery fee.
Express Delivery:
Express Delivery takes an average of 3-5 business days, not including the day of purchase. Once an order has been placed with this delivery option, we will check stock levels and inform you if Express Delivery can be carried out, please be aware express delivery is a one man delivery service to the buildings point of entry, if you require a 2 man delivery, please do not opt for express service.
if your delivery cannot be delivered using our express service, you will notified and your order will fall within our standard time frame and price. You will be refunded the difference.
Couriers and Shipping Partners:
We work with a trusted network of couriers to ensure safe, timely, and professional delivery. For larger items, delivery may be completed by pallet, depending on order size and weight. If you receive tracking information from a courier, please contact them directly for updates; otherwise, reach out to us at info@thefurnitureemporium.ie with any other queries.
Missed Deliveries:
If you are unavailable for a delivery:
Courier Deliveries:
After two failed attempts, the package will be returned to our warehouse. Re-delivery charges of €9.95 per package apply.
Non-Courier Deliveries (Larger Items):
Missed deliveries for larger items require a re-delivery fee of €60-€150, depending on order size.

We want your experience with us to be smooth and transparent, so here’s what to expect after placing your order:
Order Processing (24–72 Hours):
Once you’ve placed your order, it enters our processing system. This typically takes 24 to 72 hours (excluding weekends). During this time, we confirm stock availability, prepare logistics, and begin planning delivery.
Estimated Delivery Lead Time Notification:
Deliveries take 10-14 days on average. After processing, you will receive an estimated delivery timeframe (e.g. 14th–18th), usually given as a 5-day window. This is your initial delivery estimate and allows you to plan ahead.
Remote & Rural Deliveries
Deliveries to remote, rural, or island locations may be subject to extended lead times beyond our standard delivery estimates. While we always aim to deliver as promptly as possible, access and routing constraints can occasionally result in longer delivery times. Estimated delivery timeframes for these locations can be provided on request prior to purchase.
Delivery Booking Call
Closer to the delivery date, our logistics team will contact you by phone to confirm your delivery date and time slot. If you are unavailable at the time of booking, our delivery team will try to accommodate where possible; however, this may result in a delay to your order.
When Updates Are Available:
Please note, if you haven’t received an update yet, it simply means one is not available at this time. We understand the importance of communication and aim to keep customers informed—but updates are only sent when new information becomes available.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. Furniture and homeware deliveries involve careful coordination, and we do not rush this process to ensure your order arrives safely and in perfect condition.

Delivery Timing and Scheduling
Booking Notification
You will typically be contacted 24–48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery with a proposed delivery date and approximate time window. Please note that this is a courtesy call and, while we do our best to make contact, it cannot be guaranteed due to routing changes, cancellations, or operational constraints.
Cancellation Slots
Occasionally, a cancellation slot may become available for your delivery. If this happens, you will be contacted by our logistics team to offer you the opportunity to take the cancelled delivery slot. If you are unable to accept this new delivery time, rest assured that your original delivery window will remain unaffected.
Should you choose to accept the cancellation slot, please be aware that you are agreeing to the delivery terms outlined in this policy. You must be available to receive the delivery on the confirmed date. If you miss the delivery, a re-delivery fee will apply. Alternatively, a refund will be issued, minus the original delivery fee or any applicable restocking fees, depending on the nature of your order.
Please note, we cannot accommodate specific time slot requests due to logistical constraints.
Delivery Times:
Typical delivery hours are 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. It is essential that someone is present to receive the delivery on the scheduled date.
Delays and Responsibility:
While we aim for timely delivery, external factors such as traffic or road conditions may occasionally cause delays. You will be notified of delays only when outside the typical delivery hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm, it is the customers responsibility to ensure that someone is available to receive delivery.
Delivery Service and Access
Standard Delivery:
Deliveries are made to the ground floor or main entrance of the property. Moving items to specific rooms is optional and carried out at the customer’s discretion and risk. We are not liable for any damages incurred during additional placement beyond the primary delivery point.
Please note that delivery is strictly a drop-off service to your requested address. Our standard delivery does not include assembly, packaging removal, furniture removal, or any other additional services. If you wish to discuss the possibility of adding assembly or other services, please contact us prior to delivery and we will be happy to advise on availability and associated costs.
Apartment Deliveries:
For apartment deliveries beyond the ground floor, please note any access details (such as lifts or stairways) at checkout. If a two-person delivery is required, please request this in your order notes; this may extend the delivery timeframe.
Delivery and Collection Lead Times:
Average delivery/collection times for small, in-stock items such as cushions, bedding, accessories, and other non-breakable, small-sized products are 10-14 working days (excluding weekends) from the date of purchase.
Small and medium-sized products that are breakable and require extra care—such as mirrors, lamps, clocks, bedside lockers, console tables, etc.—are delivered by our in-house logistics team and are subject to a delivery time of 14–21 working days. These items are not suitable for standard courier delivery due to their fragile nature.
Mirror products have an estimated lead time of 2–3 weeks due to the delicate nature of these items. As mirrors require specialist handling and are supplied on a pre-order basis, the average timeframe from order placement to collection or delivery is approximately 2–3 weeks.
We truly appreciate your custom and understand that timely delivery is important. However, furniture and delicate homeware items require special handling and extra care to ensure they arrive to you in perfect condition. Unlike fast-delivery services, our process is designed to protect your order every step of the way—because rushing your delivery through conventional "Amazon-style" methods simply isn’t worth the risk to your purchase.
For larger items or high-demand products, delivery may take up to six weeks.
We will update you promptly if your item requires a longer lead time.
Specialty Items:
Items such as beds, mattresses, sofas, sliderobes, and dining tables may have extended delivery times due to size and stock considerations.
Click & Collect at The Furniture Emporium
When placing a Click & Collect order, please note that the collection lead time provided at checkout is an estimate only and not a guaranteed timeframe. Our typical order processing time is 7–10 working days. We’ll keep you updated as your order progresses, and you’ll be notified once it’s ready for collection. When your order is complete, you’ll be assigned a collection date and time slot at our designated collection depot to ensure a smooth and efficient pickup experience. We do not offer additional services (such as assembly) unless clearly stated on your receipt.
Additional Information
Pre-Order Items:
Items not in stock at the time of order are considered pre-orders. Our customer service team will contact you with an estimated delivery timeframe.
Assembly & Removal Service
Assembly services must be booked at the time of placing your order. Requests to add assembly after an order has entered processing may result in additional lead times and cannot be guaranteed.
To allow our team to work safely and efficiently, the designated assembly area must be fully cleared of obstructions prior to delivery. This includes personal belongings and any bulky furniture items. If, upon delivery, the assembly area is not suitably clear and our team is unable to safely and carefully complete the assembly, the items will be delivered as planned and the assembly fee will be refunded. This policy is in place to protect your personal belongings and to ensure a safe, clean working environment for our staff.
For removal services, all items must be clean and fully prepared for collection. We do not offer disassembly of items being removed, so please ensure that all items are ready for pickup at the time of delivery. For hygiene and safety reasons, our employees and management reserve the right to refuse removal of any item deemed unsuitable.
After completion of Assembly service, photos will be taken of the product/s to ensure clarity and completion is upto standard, these photos are inspected by management on completion to ensure you receive the highest standard of service.

Assembly & Removal Service Exclusions
Please note that we are currently unable to offer Assembly or Removal services in the following areas: Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, and Tyrone.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
In-Person Receipt:
For all deliveries, someone must be present to receive and sign for the order.
Flat-Pack furniture:
Some items are flat-pack and require assembly. It is the duty of the customer to ask if an item is flat-pack or comes assembled.
Holiday Period Order Processing Notice
Please note that orders placed between 15th December and 4th January (inclusive) are processed from 5th January, with standard delivery lead times applying from this date.
This is due to the holiday period, during which our retail store, affiliate locations, depots, and warehouse facilities are closed.
We appreciate your understanding and will, as always, endeavour to process and deliver all orders as promptly as possible once operations resume.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I receive items with different lead times separately?
A: Yes. Items available sooner will be shipped separately at no additional charge. You will receive email updates regarding each item’s delivery status.
Q: Can I ship to a different address than the billing address?
